Mobile app based bank N26 introduces digital map version

With the digital version of the N26 card, new customers can shop directly via the Apple and Google Wallet.

Financial services provider N26 has announced that it will speed up the process of applying for a new account.

Customers have to wait for the postal delivery of their requested card in order to use it. In future, however, a digital version will be available immediately after registration has been completed.

This digital card can be transferred to the Apple Wallet and the Google Wallet and is then directly available for online purchase. Accordingly, the bank account can be used immediately, unlike previously. According to N26, the company has developed its function over the past few weeks against the backdrop of the global corona virus.

Users who cannot leave the house should be able to shop faster with the N26 debit card than with cards from other financial institutions. After activation, the N26 card should be usable on the same day.

To use the card, customers must deposit an amount and then activate the card. According to N26, it should then be able to be used on the same day via the Apple Wallet or the Google Wallet. The payment limit is $216 a day.

The new function does not only apply to new customers who create an account with N26 for the first time. Existing customers who lose their card and have it blocked can also use the new card they have ordered as a digital version.

The same applies to users who have switched their account to a premium account and customers who are currently waiting for their card. Customers will always receive a physical card by post. This can be used like an ordinary debit card.
