Google will release 3rd Android 11 developer preview in May 2020

Google will release 3rd Android 11 developer preview in May 2020. According to Google , the first beta version of Android 11 is due to be released in May 2020, and platform stability should be achieved in June. Google has released a new developer preview of Android 11. The third pre-release now brings some new features that could make it easier for programmers. The Exit Reasons API, for example, can be used to get details after an app suddenly quits. In the third preview version, Google updated the API based on user suggestions. The new ADB incremental mode should speed up the transfer of files via ADB (Android Debug Bridge). The installation of very large APK files via ADB can sometimes take a long time and thus reduce productivity.  Thanks to ADB Incremental, the transfer of files with more than 2 GB should be up to ten times faster. In the pre-release version, the new mode only works with the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, but after the start of Android 11, all new devices sho

Windows 10 update 2020 again causes various problems

Windows 10 update again causes various problems. Some report defective WLAN modules, others report data loss after the Windows 10 update that Microsoft has been distributing for a few days.

Many Windows 10 users are currently complaining about problems with the current update for Windows 10. For a few days now Microsoft has been distributing the KB4549951 package for Windows 10 1903 and 1909. In addition, users of the somewhat older Windows 10 version 1809 have received the update package KB4549949.

Microsoft itself reports a known bug that the patches bring with it: Some Asian language packs should display an error after they have been installed and, according to the manufacturer, must be installed again. In an already multi-page support thread, users describe much more serious problems with their devices.

"I just finished installing the update on my laptop and it seems that my keyboard, WiFi and Bluetooth are no longer working," said one user. He was able to reverse the error by resetting the version and reinstalling the driver. Other people also report problems with their system's WLAN module - sudden throttling and deactivated Bluetooth.

A user reports files corrupted by the update in Outlook 2016 that he can no longer use the software. Another user finds his operating system after the update in a state that is no longer activated.

Data loss in a few cases
Some users cannot even install the patch because the update process hangs in the middle of the process and the operating system has to be reset. Other people get blue screens and report system crashes when opening various programs.

Personal settings such as bookmarks in Firefox and Chrome were also partially deleted. While this problem could apparently be solved by simply restarting, another user has probably lost his personal data after the update.

Since many different bugs are reported, it should be difficult for Microsoft to fix them all in a short time. Microsoft has so far not communicated any improvement. Windows 10 offers the possibility to postpone updates for some time.
